My new favorite current TV series is star wars rebels. It may be animated and Disney, but it's definitely star wars. Very solid.

This is FEEF

yeah it was good, you should watch it. Anthony Hopkins is the man.

Walking Dead half-season was pretty horrible overall after the first episode. Had its moments, and Negan is pretty cool guy I guess, but man that was some boring shit when he wasn't on screen. jesus needs to be promoted to main character as well, he's 100x better than all the stupid alexandria characters. also not enough CGI tiger, I hope they just saved all of their budget for the second half of the season...

Keen to watch through S2 of Man in the High Castle this weekend. First season was definitely flawed, but the setting was awesome enough to keep me interested, and I didn't mind the direction it took in the end as much as some people

I don't know if Rick and Morty have been discussed here or not, I can't recall.

I finally got around to watching season 3, and it's the same top-notch humour.

I hate what the fanbase has become on the internet, it's kind of like Dark Souls or Undertale. Great IP, but such rabid irrational fans that it's really off-putting. Either way, I'm like half-way through the season and I'm loving it, highly recommend checking it out.

Also, has anyone watched Stranger Things? I really want to watch it it, but I have such little free time that I don't want to invest in it if I'm not going to love it.

Is it like "horror" horror? Or just like thriller with some horror inspired themes? Because I don't super love horror as a genre, but I love creepy and dark.

The Rick and Morty fan-base ruined the show for me. It's an enjoyable show, but if I hear one more person call it "smart" I'm gonna lose my shit. It includes humor that appeals to fans of intelligence, but that doesn't actually make the show itself smart. It does very little to challenge or critique society in a way that a lot of the historically "smart" cartoons have. With cartoons like The Simpsons or Futurama, there's a critical commentary of society at play, Rick and Morty is just a show about smart people.
That said, it's a fun adventure story and I don't mind tuning into it every now and then. I did watch all of season three and I'm sure I'll end up watching all the future seasons as well.

Stranger Things is my favorite show on Netflix atm, definitely watch it. It isn't horror. It's not even a thriller really. I'd categorize it as a realistic fantasy adventure that plays homage to the horror genre, I guess? It carries a lot of horror elements without directly being horror-based.
I can not stress to you enough how much I love this show. Season one was just good, but season two is fucking amazing. Watch it.

The older I get, the more I appreciate Futurama.

Sounds good, I'll definitely check it out then. Everything I've seen in terms of promotion makes me want to watch it, but I'm always hesitant to commit to a series.

So I recently started watching a show called Shameless, as per recommendation of one of my coworkers. I'm almost done with the second season and it's a pretty good show. Not a perfect show, by any stretch of the word, but it hooked me enough that I'll probably watch all the seasons that are currently available.
If anybody is unfamiliar, it's a show about a highly dysfunctional family from the south side of Chicago trying to make it through day to day life - Think Always Sunny but as a drama instead of a comedy, and a lot of really intricate characters. There isn't really one overarching story, but a lot of smaller storylines that unfold throughout the series, which is kinda cool but also makes the show feel a little too unstructured, which is the biggest qualm I have with it.
All and all, though, it's a pretty solid show. I'd give it a 7/10 so far.
