'Kay, I think I'll switch mine to Classic Rock, Blues/Funk, and Hip-Hop.

This is getting a little out of hand. when I'm not in the car I'll try to wrap my head around this and then I'll edit the OP and change around your genres.

also I might ditch prog/post rock and just let Dave handle it, because despite my knowledge of it I know Dave's is far superior. I might switch to Alternative because it's such a broad, prevalent spectrum that it applies to a lot of what I listen to.

Edit: Nevermind, substituted prog/post rock with Folk Rock.

World Music, Folk, Rock (Someone'sunna bitch about rock being too broad a genre xD)

I'm going to guess that if someone's not already in control of a genre, they can still take entries on a volunteer basis?

EDIT: Folk isn't just folk rock, sirrrr

Folk = Folk Rock

Not in the least, love.

This =/= This.

Edit: Also, as much as I don't wanna admit it, I think we're gonna need a more broad range of musical tastes here, including the likes of Maverick and even YQ. Sure, most of the more popular members here may loathe their music, but if one of the goals of this is to bring in new members, we can sure bet that at least some of them are into that stuff.

I lav you.

EDIT: Folk became a popular genre in 1960, after rockabilly and Elvis&Friends who came from the fifities. At the same time was surf rock and mowtown. Then came the start of the British invasion. Then in 1965, came Folk Rock, which was basically revitalized Folk, with more rock components. Then psychedelic, then prog, then alt, then arena rock, then metal, then fucking shit got diversified even more.

We need more metal/pop coverage.

This method may not be the best way to get the broadest range of tastes.

I can cover pop, as long as its not too wretched.

Wait, for the reviewing of albums, could there be like, multiple opinions on a single album?

If it's necessary.

And yes, Metro brings up a good point as well; we could always migrate to other genres if needed.

I think it would be more important to cover Metal than Pop. Pop is relatively easy to cover because its everywhere, and anything described as pop is usually well known, while Metal has a lot of releases constantly coming out, some as obscure as the shit I listen to.
