well eventually this list is going to be "all music is shit". I kinda like that. it's edgy and hip.

i don't listen to music anymore, guys. it's all too mainstream. ALL of it

I heard this new band, they're actually some of the only good music these days. They don't have a name, and they recorded their album by going into the rainforest with a bunch of recording equipment, no instruments and no voices. Just the ambient sound around them. It's this new genre called naturecore. I've also been listening to a lot of bugaloo whale step. It's like dub step except instead of electronically mixed loud noises, it's just regular volume noises that a bugaloo whale makes.

I liked naturecore until it went mainstream.

Was goin through my music and started thinking about this thread. I think I can actually narrow it down to two bands, if in indeed we are discussing "bands" as multi-person groups (if not I have no fuckin idea nor do i give a fuck): Led Zeppelin and The Decemberists. Zeppelin is just indisputably one of the best rock bands of all time, and after debating whether or not I liked Pink Floyd more, I decided on Zeppelin. Decemberists are just great, Colin Meloy is perhaps my favorite songwriter and there music is so appealing to me.

Yeah, I realize that my initial post has caused some confusion.

I use the term "bands" simply because I don't listen to many singular artists myself, so I don't consider it.

But yeah, if your favorite musical act is a single artist, it still counts in this thread.

Crush. The ones who wrote the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle songs.

Nabarl's biggest (and possibly only fan) in the entire fandom.

You mean Crush 40, I assume.

Which also leads me to assume that you don't listen to much music.

Oh hands down, SA2 had a kick-butt soundtrack.

But nonetheless, saying your favorite band is a video game BGM group... yeah.

Obviously not a whole lot of other music being listened to.

Damn The Gorillaz are damn good as well. And Kendrick Lamar is the best rapper at the moment, imo.

GOD and radiohead. and andrew bird.

Actually, this question is not as hard as it initially seems. Even though I listen to a shit load of artists, my favorites, the ones I've dug into and really know most of their work like the back of my hand, can be narrowed down to ten or less. Lots of artists I love but I think a prerequisite for favorite can be the amount of dedication one has put towards exploring an artists work. So yeah.
