Guide
So, here's what you do. First off, send out all your units to attack any units in range. The monsters will most likely hit them, but don't be too worried because they're rather weak. But don't be too careless, and keep your units together. Artur can take out the dark magic using Mogalls with ease. Be sure to heal everyone with Moulder. Also, send someone to the north village to collect an Iron Axe.

On the second turn, three Bonewalkers will appear from the east, but they shouldn't be much bother. Just keep attacking the enemies on the north part of the map. On the next turn, L'Arachel and some others will appear on a hill. L'Arachel wants to help, but nothing ever comes of it. She does join your party much later, though.

On turn six, four Revenants will appear from the northwest. Just send somebody up there to deal with them. Once all of the monsters on the north part of the area are gone, head across the bridge. However, be cautious and send out somebody strong to take the lead, maybe Franz. And move slowly, taking time to heal. Not a lot of strategy is required, though. Send a few people out to the southwest village to recruit Lute. Once you've killed all the monsters, just finish off the boss.

Strategy
To be honest, this boss is so weak, it's embarrassing...just send in your magic users to kill him in one turn. I got Lute to kill him because she needed the experience points. Seriously, just look at his stats....what the heck?
