| Before the battle, Natasha will join up with you. You don't have any choice in
taking her along, so bench Moulder as you'll already have one healer. Anyway, here's what I'd do - move all your units east to below the stairs. On the second turn, two brigands will appear from the east, so be sure to take them out quickly before they destroy any villages. Move all the units that can reach them next to the brigands to attack. The rest should just stay there to confront the enemies as they reach you. Okay, the main danger here is Joshua, the Myrmidon. You absolutely want to stay out of his attack range, so check it often. He has a Killing Edge, and if you get in his range, he'll probably critical one of your units and kill them. Not good. And even if he doesn't critical, your character will injure him and maybe even kill him. You see, you can recruit him with Natasha, the cleric. But first, get rid of the other units like the Fighters around him. All you have to do is move just outside of Joshua's reach and the Fighters will come in and get killed. Now, to recruit him. Once most of the other units around Joshua are dead, move up Natasha. Don't worry, Joshua won't attack her. Then, when it's your turn again, move her up and talk to him. Voila! He'll join up with you. You probably don't want him to waste his rather valuable Killing Edge, so give him somebody's Iron Sword. Also, be sure to have somebody rescue Natasha after she's done recruiting Joshua. Now, about the villages. Send somebody to visit the bottom one for a Dragonshield. The one below the Arena has an Armorslayer, the one in the northwest has a Torch and the one below that has a Secret Book. Get to them eventually. But don't go too slowly, because more Brigands will appear on turn 6 and 8. But you can lure them away from the villages by moving into their attack range. As always, move slowly and cautiously. I suggest moving up through the main part first, then swooping around and finishing off the rest of the enemies, if there are any left. But keep out of Saar's range. Finally, if you want, you can visit the Arena. The Arena is where you can send in one of your units to fight one on one with a random enemy unit. Now, this can be very dangerous, as it's a fight to the death - but if you find yourself losing, you can hit B and you'll exit on your next turn. Also, before battle you have to bet a certain amount of gold, and if you win, you'll double that amount. Obviously, your character should be at full health before entering the Arena. The Arena is a great place to level up and gain gold, but you'll have to be careful if you use it. | |

| If you've trained in the Arena, this boss should be a snap. Use either Eirika's Rapier or magic to kill him. If you haven't trained in the Arena though, you might want to be a bit more cautious. Surround him with all your units and kill him in one turn. |
